About Me...

Hey there! How’s it going?

My name is David. I’m a lifestyle family photographer in Vancouver, BC, and I serve families by delivering real, authentic family portraits.

I’ve found that families (Yes, even my own) are so busy and often struggle to find the time to capture photos of the whole family together. So I have focussed my passion for photography to capture images that you and your family can enjoy for years.

Life is busy, especially with little ones, and I know how hard it is for you to savour the moments.  But these moments are fleeting!  So let's catch them together in a fun and stress-free way.

My photography style?  It's relaxed, real and authentic.  I keep it simple and I may have a trick or two to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera.  I will set you up in some beautiful light, step back, and capture those precious candid moments that naturally occur between your family.

A little about me…

People (my wife) describe me as calm, unassuming, relaxed and easy going.

I'm a husband and a proud father of two energetic boys and a scruffy rescue pup.  My kids definitely fuel my passion for family photography as I know how quickly they grow up.

My wife and I endured many years of fertility treatment in having our children and there was a point when we thought that it probably wasn’t going to happen for us.  I feel grateful for my kids every day (even when they’re being little monkeys) and being called “Daddy” is something I’ll never take for granted.

On the lighter side, I’m a dog lover, caffeine addict, Whitecaps fanatic, and I love throwing myself down the side of a mountain on a snowboard or mountain bike.

Something unique about me…

When I was younger I went on a 2-year expedition where I travelled through 15 countries, which was highlighted by visiting my relatives in Sweden and then Edinburgh, Scotland where I lived and worked.  I capped the trip off with an amazing (and hard) 5-week overland tour of Eqypt, Jordan, Syria and Turkey.

Please check out my portfolio and blog for some samples of my sessions and send me a message if you have any questions.

I look forward to hearing from you!
